QAA letter: Access to HE website
Coronavirus Update for HEI Organisations - posted 26 February 2021
You may be aware that QAA wrote to Higher Education Providers on 18th February outlining the arrangements for the award of the Access to HE Diploma in 2020-21. As an Access Validating Agency for the Access to HE Diploma, One Awards are not permitted to circulate the letter but, if you have not yet seen it please check with your nominated QAA quality contact or contact me and I will ask QAA to send a copy.
Within the letter is a link to the QAA Access to HE website – 6th January update and further links to the QAA guidance document ‘Arrangements for the Award and Assessment of the Access to HE Diploma 2020-21’: https://www.qaa.ac.uk/en/access-to-he/covid-19-support-and-information
QAA also have a live FAQs list for Access to HE providers which you may find useful. These are updated as new queries and the need for additional information arises:
“One Awards' innovative results service has been a fantastic development for universities and allows us to check students' achievement immediately ourselves. This is an excellent service which means that we are able to confirm student places quickly and effectively without having to follow up with providers and students or wait for results to be sent on to us. This is because their certification turnaround time of less than two days allows One Awards to process student results almost as soon as the colleges/providers have provided the final verified results. This really does help us put students at the heart of our confirmation process”.
