Have you considered offering the One Awards Access to HE Built Environment Diploma? The Access to HE Built Environment Diploma is designed to engage students in the knowledge and skills required to study at HE level within the construction or built environment sectors. The Diploma is also suitable for those who have worked in the industry trade and wish to progress their career prospects within the sector.
We are currently collaborating with local partners to develop a campaign to promote the huge benefits of adult learning. This campaign will be aimed primarily at promoting adult education to those in ethnic minority communities and to ex-offenders.
Hayley 29, completed her Access to HE Diploma in 2015, progressed to Teesside University to study Chemical Engineering MEng (Hons) which she completed with first class honors in 2019 gained employment as a Graduate Process Engineer with SABIC and has recently become an Operations Co-ordinator at Wood a global leader in consulting and engineering across energy.

The skills gap is an ongoing challenge for the UK, across a number of sectors and industries, despite many workers of all ages wanting to upskill in their current role or looking to retrain to move into a different profession.
