Progression Agreement with The University of Suffolk

One Awards are delighted to announce we have signed a Progression Agreement, with The University of Suffolk, which will make it easier for students undertaking their Access to Higher Education Diploma to progress to university. As part of the Progression Agreement, the University commits to supporting students on One Awards’ Access to Higher Education Diplomas in their preparation for higher education, through virtual and physical activity. Those studying the Access to HE Diploma will benefit from guaranteed interviews for courses that require one, and lower entry requirements where possible. These types of Agreements are important for One Awards as we continue to promote the Access to HE Diploma as a route back in to education for mature students.
Fabienne Bailey, Managing Director at One Awards, said: "We are delighted to be working in partnership with the University of Suffolk through our Progression Agreement with them. This will offer greater opportunities for students across the country who achieve a One Awards Access to Higher Education diploma and seek progression at the University. We are grateful to the University for supporting adult learning in this way which in turn will widen participation through Access to Higher Education Level 3 programmes for more and more mature students."
Karen Hinton, Head of UK Student Recruitment, said, “We are delighted to have signed a Progression Agreement with One Awards. We know that students undertaking the Access to Higher Education Diploma are well-placed for successfully entering and completing their degree at Suffolk, and an important part of this agreement is our support of the Colleges in providing information, advice and guidance to their students. Access to HE students will be made slightly lower offers for Suffolk degrees and will be supported throughout their journey into HE.”
