Principles and Practice of End Point Assessment

Level 3 Unit for the Principles and Practice of End Point Assessment

There is a higher demand for Independent Assessors to carry out Standard apprenticeship End Point Assessments, in many vocational areas within the industry, than there are qualified Assessors with the knowledge and understanding of how to carry out End Point Assessment. With the Government targeting 3 million apprentices there is a rapidly growing need for suitably qualified people to become Independent End Point Assessors.

This is a fantastic development opportunity for any assessor looking to expand their employment prospects.

If you have excellent occupational competence and /or qualifications and are looking for a new opportunity or wish to supplement your income through carrying out Independent End Point Assessments, this could be the perfect course for you.

This accredited unit is designed to develop Assessor knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice of End Point Assessment, the different types of End Point Assessment (EPA) and the role of the Independent EPA assessor.

The purpose of the course is to enable the assessor to apply EPA methodologies ensuring that the distinction between endpoint and ongoing assessment, learning outcomes and assessment criteria that focus on EPA including any grading and quality assurance processes are maintained.

This course will also support assessors delivering the new standard apprenticeship, developing their knowledge and understanding of the EPA process enabling them to develop and prepare their learners to successfully achieve their End Point Assessment activity.
