David Balme has been appointed as the new Chair of the Board of Trustees for One Awards and takes up his post this month from outgoing Chair, Peter Stonell who has been a Trustee since 2015 and led the board from 2017.

On stepping down Peter (pictured right) said "Now is the time for me to stand down from my role as the Chair of the One Awards Board. I have been a One Awards Trustee for many years now and I have been proud to be involved with this amazing charity, helping to shape their charitable objectives in supporting people to develop in life and work through education and skills. I have enjoyed seeing the organisation grow as part of NOCN Group and will continue to promote the fantastic role that Access to Higher Education plays in transforming people's lives. I have worked alongside the new Chair on the Board for the past year and I am confident in handing over the role to David who comes with a wealth of experience in the sector. Good luck to everyone - keep up the good work!"

Fabienne Bailey, Managing Director at One Awards said “Peter has provided consistent support to me and the staff throughout his time at One Awards. His contribution over the last five years has enabled One Awards to grow and develop in to the NOCN Group and to achieve great success for learners, providers, businesses and communities. His strong financial acumen supported the Board to make the right decisions on the diversification and sustainability of One Awards. Peter will be greatly missed by all at One Awards.”
